Minister-Counselor, Deputy Ambassador of Israel to Poland
Ruth Cohen-Dar - Minister-Counselor, Deputy Ambassador of Israel to Poland. Born in the Negev, to mother that is third generation in Jerusalem, and father of Greek descendent. A family of pioneers, who have established a village near Ashkelon. Served in the IDF for 3 years as an officer after a year of volunteering as a community worker in the peripheral rural area. Ruth Cohen Dar completed her M.A. in Political Science at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.She began working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1986. Ruth served at diplomatic missions in Vienna and Washington. Until August 2014 she had the position of the Director of Communications Department at the MFA in Jerusalem, later she became the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Israel in Poland.
