Chief Executive Director at Czech Private Equity and Venture Capital Association

Silke Horáková is a private investor and co-owner of Albatros Media, a.s., the largest book publishing company in the Czech Republic. She is also acting as the CEO of the Czech Private Equity & Venture Capital Association. In the past, Silke worked as a senior professional for private equity funds and and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. She was also teaching Entrepreneurship Finance at the Prague University of Economics.

Silke is the founder of the Albatros foundation, helping socially disadvantaged children in education, and a co-founder of a foundation supporting independent journalism in the Czech Republic. She closely works with national and international organisations like Ashoka and NESsT on the promotion and development of social entrepreneurship.
